Relationships (personal, work, food, substance) can be addictive and potentially harmful to ones well being.
This doesn’t mean that the activity or substance is necessarily bad, just that the current relationship to it has made working together in a healthy, moderate, thriving, functional way extremely challenging, if not impossible.
Sometimes one has to cut off the relationship entirely and see if after awhile it can be approached in a healthy and moderate way. Sometimes it has to be cut out forever.
